It all started with a simple observation: millions of small shop owners in India were still relying on paper notebooks (khatas) to manage their daily transactions.
These notebooks were easily lost, prone to calculations errors, and made collecting pending payments a socially awkward task. Shop owners were losing an average of 3-5% of their revenue simply due to poor record-keeping.
We built UdharBook to solve this exact problem. By bringing the traditional khata to the smartphone, we've made financial management simple, secure, and stress-free for the backbone of India's economy.
